   Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this carrier to review. The Ergobaby Away Carrier is a great structured carrier. For reference, I am 5’ 3” and my 22 pound baby felt very supported and my back did not hurt after carrying him around. A few things I love about this carrier are the built in storage pouch, its solid structure and its easy adjustments. I even appreciate the elastic at the end of the straps so you can roll them up neatly. The head cover for baby is a great addition for when they’re napping and you want to keep sun out of their eyes. Also, the fact that there’s no clips to put together near the baby means there’s no chance of accidentally pinching their skin. Although there are a lot of things I love about this carrier, I gave 4 stars for a few things that didn’t work well for me. First, the mesh on the underside of the straps is uncomfortable on any exposed skin. That is a big deal in warmer months. Second, I actually have a very hard time putting together the clip behind my head when I’m wearing him in the front. Maybe this is because I have a heavier baby, but I do find it difficult. If I’m at home, I’ll sit his bottom on something, squat down, and then I can clip it easily. The last thing I don’t really love is the color/style. Ergo has so many pretty carriers and this one just misses the mark for me! Overall, I think this is a great backup carrier to have stored away in your car or stroller for when it’s needed, and we will continue to use it for our backup one!

   Overall this is a great idea for a product. It’s very lightweight, and stuffs down nicely into the pouch that is attached to it. I did have somewhat of a difficult time stuffing it into the pouch, but the tight fit makes it small when it’s zipped up. I have been keeping it as a spare carrier in my car – that way when I’m just going on quick errands, I don’t have to worry about remembering to pack the carrier. I wouldn’t want to wear it for longer outings, as the waist strap isn’t really padded. It’s definitely not the most comfortable carrier, and my baby agrees. I found it a little tricky to get her into a comfortable position, and my husband found it very tricky. I received this product to test through the stellar panel, I likely wouldn’t spend the money on one myself but might consider giving it to someone as a gift.

   To say this carrier is my new favorite baby item, is an understatement. I received the new Ergobaby Away carrier from Stellar Product Testing Panel and I have not used my other carriers since! It is so lightweight to wear, with still having padding to protect my shoulders and waist. The fact that It is so compact that It can fit into its own zippered pouch is the added bonus of all bonuses. It fits in my diaper bag or purse and it’s so easy for me to always have on hand. In love.

   This is the most comfortable carrier I’ve ever tried! Back pain is pretty common for me, but I’ve never experienced it with this carrier. Baby feels secure, I feel comfortable, and baby loves it. I have zero complaints. I couldn’t recommend this enough!
